How to use it

  1. Choose a safe test point away from important face-up areas when micro-ablation is required
  2. Calibrate with appropriate standards for the gem species and target elements
  3. Measure trace elements such as beryllium, chromium, iron, titanium, copper, or gallium as relevant
  4. Compare chemistry with natural, treated, synthetic, and origin reference databases
  5. Report limits of detection and whether the method was destructive or minimally invasive
  6. Use chemistry with microscopy and spectroscopy, not as a standalone shortcut
