How to use it

  1. Fill a small glass cell with immersion liquid (water, glycerin, or methylene iodide)
  2. Fully submerge the stone
  3. Light from the side with a fiber optic pinpoint source
  4. Examine at 10x to 40x magnification
  5. Systematically scan through the stone in layers
  6. Photograph any diagnostic inclusions
