How to use it

2. Focus on a clean, safe area of the stone or inclusion
3. Collect Raman spectra for material identification or photoluminescence spectra for color centers
4. Use low power first to avoid heating sensitive, filled, or organic materials
5. Compare peak positions and luminescence features with trusted reference data
6. Combine results with microscopy, FTIR, and chemistry when treatment disclosure matters
